Hey, I'm 16yr old Dan James and I live in Mudeford (near Bournemouth) on the south coast of England. My local spots are Avon Beach, Mudeford and Poole Harbour.
I have been kite surfing for 2 years. I started to kite on land with both buggy's and landboard's from the age of 11. One day I saw someone out on the water, so I made myself a kitesurf board out of plywood, added on some wooden fins and gave it a go myself. That was me hooked!
Since then I have been kitesurfing every time the wind blows and am progressing well in the sport. I got noticed by H20 Sports whilst training in Poole and they offered to sponsor me, following that I got sponsored by North Kiteboarding. This year North Kiteboarding took their team riders from around the world 
out to Egypt for "Youngblood Camp For International Training " which I was proud to be part of.
I fly the North Vegas 08 kites and ride the Youngblood board.
I have been competing in all the BKSA competitions around the UK and have met some great people and have made many friends. Kitesurfing has now become a lifestyle for me and my family rather than just a hobby!
Some other sports that I enjoy include wakeboarding, skiing, trampolining.
